Bac Ha Market, located in Bac Ha town, Lao Cai province, is the largest highland market in northern Vietnam. Just 80km from Lao Cai city and 135km from Sapa, this vibrant market is a hub for cultural and trade exchanges among ethnic groups like the H'Mong, Tay, Dao, Phu La, and La Chi.
Held every Sunday from early morning until around 2 p.m., the market is divided into four main areas: livestock, farming tools, brocade and jewelry, and a food section featuring local specialties. Visitors can shop, taste delicious traditional dishes, and soak in the lively atmosphere while discovering the unique customs of the region.
